Inspired by the discovery of a silver duck brooch at Vindolanda this embroidered patch features the duck brooch image in the centre.
It is thought that in Roman times the duck was a symbol of honesty, simplicity and resourcefulness as well as transition due to their migratory nature.
The oval patch measures 8cm x 6cm
